CEAMSA advances in the development of AI-driven digital twins through the PlatGDIA project
CEAMSA continues to strengthen its commitment to innovation, industrial digitalization and sustainability through its participation in PlatGDIA, a collaborative project aimed at contributing to the development of a more advanced and competitive industry by leveraging the potential of deep technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
This initiative, funded by the European Union through CDTI, the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (NextGenerationEU), and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, brings together technology companies, research centers and industrial players to accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge AI-based solutions.
CEAMSA’s contribution to the PlatGDIA project
During the first year of the project, CEAMSA has played a key role in defining the digital twin associated with the industrial process for pectin extraction—one of the company’s core operations. Its contribution has focused on providing process-specific expertise, identifying needs, opportunities and technical requirements that will enable the development of a high-value digital twin.
In summary, CEAMSA has worked on:
- The functional analysis of the process and the identification of its key variables.
- The review of the industrial connectivity required and the integration points with existing systems.
- The detection of AI application opportunities to enhance efficiency and predictive capabilities.
- The initial definition of the objectives and operational requirements of the digital twin.
- The contribution to the conceptualization of the DTMeth methodology, bringing the practical perspective of a real industrial environment.
Thanks to this work, CEAMSA has helped establish the foundation for the development of a digital twin that, in later stages of the project, will enable scenario simulation, operation parameter optimization, and more data-driven decision-making—advancing the digitalization and efficiency of its industrial processes.
A further step in CEAMSA’s innovation strategy
CEAMSA’s contribution to the PlatGDIA project fully aligns with its strategic roadmap, focused on:
- The digital transformation of its production processes.
- The integration of advanced technologies to improve efficiency, quality and sustainability.
- Active participation in collaborative R&D projects together with leading companies and technology centers.
With this project, CEAMSA takes a substantial step forward towards implementing Industry 4.0 solutions, paving the way for future developments based on AI and advanced analytics applied to its industrial processes.
