CEAMSA reaffirms its commitment to sustainability at the UN Global Compact General Assembly and the “Movers for Sustainability” event

On May 22, 2025, CEAMSA took part in the General Assembly of the United Nations Global Compact Spanish Network, held at the emblematic Florida Park in Madrid’s Retiro Park.

This annual gathering brought together representatives from companies committed to the Ten Principles of the Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), providing a forum for dialogue, reflection, and the strengthening of strategic alliances.

Active participation in the General Assembly

The assembly addressed key topics related to corporate sustainability, including the presentation of progress reports, review of collective strategies, and the renewal of the network’s governance bodies. CEAMSA’s presence at this forum reaffirms its commitment to transparency, responsible governance, and the integration of the SDGs into its business model, in line with its Purely Sustainable 2024–2026 strategy.

Presence at “Movers for Sustainability”

Following the Assembly, CEAMSA joined the “Movers for Sustainability” event, an inspiring day that brought together more than 300 business leaders, young professionals, and representatives from various organizations to share experiences and best practices. The event emphasized the importance of collective action and business leadership in addressing global challenges, focusing on topics such as decarbonization, circular economy, and sustainable innovation.

Alignment with the ODS and the Ten Principles of the Global Compact

Since joining the Global Compact in December 2023, CEAMSA has reinforced the implementation of initiatives aligned with key SDGs in its sector. Special focus has been placed on areas such as gender equality, access to clean water, renewable energy, decent work, industrial innovation, responsible consumption, climate action, and ecosystem protection. All of this is guided by the ethical framework of the Ten Principles of the Global Compact, which cover human rights, labour standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption, and which CEAMSA has adopted as a transversal guide to building a more just, transparent, and sustainable business model.

Participation in these events reinforces CEAMSA’s strategy to position itself as a benchmark in sustainability within the hydrocolloids sector, promoting a corporate culture based on social responsibility, innovation, and respect for the environment.
