CEAMSA strengthens its environmental commitment through the Agri-food PERTE
CEAMSA is participating in the project entitled «Acquisition and implementation of new innovative equipment aimed at increasing the level of environmental protection in the hydrocolloid production process», under the aid programme for comprehensive actions across the agri-food industry value chain within the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation of the Agri-food Sector (PERTE Agroalimentario).
The project is being developed within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the Ministry of Industry and Tourism of the Government of Spain.
In this context, CEAMSA is carrying out an investment project, under file number PA2-010200-2024-74, whose main objective is to incorporate innovative technological solutions that will increase the level of environmental protection associated with hydrocolloid production processes. The approved eligible budget totals €1,002,296.65 and has been under development at the company’s facilities since October 2024.
The initiative is aimed at improving resource-use efficiency, optimising various internal processes, and reducing the waste and effluents associated with production activities.
In addition, the incorporation of this new equipment will strengthen process control, improve operational efficiency, and promote the better use of certain process streams and by-products, thereby supporting CEAMSA’s transition towards a more circular production model.
This project forms part of CEAMSA’s sustainability strategy and reflects its commitment to the continuous improvement of its industrial processes, the reduction of its environmental impact, and the development of solutions aligned with a more efficient, competitive, and responsible agri-food industry.
