“From Green to Healthy”: The Path Towards a More Innovative and Sustainable Agri-food Future

CEAMSA is participating in the FG2H (FROM GREEN TO HEALTHY) project, aimed at strengthening the agri-food value chain through innovation, digitalization, and enhanced sustainability. This project, supported by the PERTE Agri-Food program, is a global initiative that seeks to transform the current ecosystem towards healthier products, produced in sustainable factories, with operations optimized and traceable through the most advanced digital tools—ensuring food safety.
The project’s leading consortium includes more than 20 companies across eight Spanish Autonomous Communities. These industry-leading companies are collaborating to transform the agri-food value chain through sustainability, digitalization, and innovation.
Specifically, CEAMSA is participating in two sub-projects expected to be finished by June 2025:
• Development of new technologies for the agri-food sector focused on products based on natural hydrocolloids.
• Investment in and implementation of innovative new equipment aimed at reducing resource consumption in the production of natural hydrocolloids.
Key Progress Indicators for the FG2H Project:
• Active collaboration among partners: Companies are working closely together, leveraging their unique strengths to strengthen the agri-food value chain.
• Innovation as a central focus: Sustainability and digitalization are fundamental priorities across all initiatives.
• Resource optimization: Investments are being utilized efficiently, promoting synergies across the entire value chain.
• Visible results: Achievements are measurable and show clear progress toward consortium objectives.
• Ongoing commitment: The active involvement of partners ensures a positive and sustainable long-term impact.
This project is funded under the grant program for comprehensive actions in the agri-food industry value chain, part of the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE AGRO), within the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, financed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and the European Union (Next Generation EU).
