CEAMSA receives the APROEMA 2025 Environmental Excellence Recognition

Vigo, November 27, 2025. CEAMSA has been honored today with the APROEMA 2025 Environmental Excellence Recognition, awarded by the Professional Association of Environmental Companies of Galicia (APROEMA) during the 7th edition of the APROEMA Environmental Awards.
This distinction highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability and its progress in implementing practices aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Recognition of CEAMSA’s commitment to sustainable industry

APROEMA highlighted CEAMSA’s strengthened leadership in recent years through the adoption of advanced environmental policies, improved resource efficiency, and the implementation of production models designed to reduce environmental impact. The organization also underscored the company’s positive and measurable contribution to both its surrounding environment and the wider Galician industrial sector.

“Puramente Sostenibles”: our roadmap for transformation

The recognition is closely linked to CEAMSA’s corporate strategy, “Puramente Sostenibles”, a comprehensive plan that embeds sustainability across all business operations and reinforces the company’s commitment to circular economy principles, responsible innovation, and efficient resource management.

One of the most prominent initiatives within this strategy is the CEAMSA Ecopark, where the company works daily to sort and recover waste materials. This allows paper, cardboard, plastics, and other resources to gain a second life, contributing to a more efficient value chain that is fully aligned with circular economy principles.

Award presented during the IV CEP Sustainability Forum

The award was presented during the IV Sustainability Forum of the Pontevedra Business Confederation (CEP), organised in collaboration with APROEMA. The forum brought together companies, public administrations and industry experts to analyse the challenges and opportunities associated
with responsible waste management in Galicia.

Throughout the session, key topics were addressed, including:

  • New regulatory obligations and the associated business risks.
  • Successful case studies demonstrating that a circular economy is both feasible and competitive.
  • The role of sustainable leadership in business, with insights from the Port Authority of Vigo.

Furthermore, the Xunta de Galicia emphasised the importance of collaboration among companies as a driving force for accelerating the region’s circular economy. The full statement can be consulted at:

The CEP expressed its gratitude to all attendees for their involvement and forward-looking vision, reinforcing the joint objective of building a more sustainable, innovative, and competitive Pontevedra.

A boost to continue progressing toward comprehensive sustainability

CEAMSA expressed its sincere gratitude to APROEMA, noting that this recognition reinforces the company’s conviction that environmental excellence is a shared responsibility and a strategic pillar for the future of industry.

CEAMSA will continue driving forward its “Puramente Sostenibles” strategy, integrating circular economy principles throughout its value chain and promoting an industrial model that is more efficient, responsible, and respectful of the environment.

CEAMSA joins the PROALIS-CARBON program and reinforces its decarbonization commitment

CEAMSA reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and climate action

On September 17, CEAMSA took part in the Food Sector Meeting, an event organized by the Alianza Galega polo Clima with the support of the Galician Food Cluster (Clusaga) and the Regional Government of Galicia (Xunta de Galicia).

The meeting brought together companies and key players from the Galician food ecosystem to discuss the challenges of decarbonization, climate change, and the sustainable transformation of the sector.

PROALIS-CARBON: advancing toward a low-carbon food industry

During the event, the PROALIS-CARBON program was presented — an initiative led by Clusaga that supports companies in their transition toward more efficient and low-carbon production models.

In line with its Sustainability Strategy, CEAMSA has joined this program, which includes a pathway of diagnosis, training, and technical support.
The aim is to reduce emissions across the food industry value chain and promote a more responsible, efficient, and sustainable model aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Sharing experiences and best practices

The meeting also featured a best practices panel entitled “How to achieve decarbonization in the food industry value chain”, moderated by Ricardo Castro, Quality and Environment Director at Vegalsa-Eroski.

The session included the participation of Bodegas Martín Códax, Nauterra, and Pazo de Vilane, who shared real sustainability experiences and discussed key actions to foster energy and environmental transition in the Galician food sector.

Commitment to climate action and sustainable innovation

CEAMSA’s participation in this event strengthens its role as a company committed to climate action, energy efficiency, and sustainable innovation.

These are core pillars of CEAMSA’s strategy to build a more resilient and environmentally responsible food industry.
