CEAMSA Showcases Progress in Innovation and Sustainable Technologies at the Atlantic Bioprocessing Summit 2025

On June 17th, CEAMSA took part in the Atlantic Bioprocessing Summit 2025, organized by the Life Sciences Cluster of Galicia (Bioga) and held in Santiago de Compostela.

The company shared with the biotechnology innovation ecosystem the latest progress in its initiatives in the fields of foodtech and industrial sustainability, presenting updates on two of its main strategic projects: the “From Green to Healthy” project from the first call of the PERTE Agroalimentario program, and FABRINTYSO, supported by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN).

Advances in the PERTE Agroalimentario: Digitalization and Circular Economy

CEAMSA presented the final results of its project funded under the PERTE Agroalimentario, focused on developing new technologies to automate, digitize, and robotize the production processes of natural hydrocolloids, with a particular emphasis on pectins.

This initiative was supported as a Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation in the agri-food sector (PERTE AGRO) within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.

This project reflects CEAMSA’s commitment to building a more efficient, safe, and circular food industry.

FABRINTYSO: Towards a More Agile, Digital, and Sustainable Factory

The company also presented an update on FABRINTYSO, which has reached its halfway point. The project is funded by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) and the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Galicia FEDER Programme 2021–2027. Its main goal is to bridge the gap between laboratory-scale experimental validation and full-scale industrial implementation, helping accelerate the transition towards a more flexible, digital, and sustainable manufacturing model.

Highlighted achievements include:

• The creation of advanced digital models of production processes using data analytics and artificial intelligence
• The development of advanced control software to improve traceability and optimize raw material usage
• The ability to develop new products faster, tailored to market demand and with greater flexibility

This project contributes to improving the time-to-market for new developments, enhancing responsiveness to market changes, and facilitating CEAMSA’s green transition.

Through its participation in the Atlantic Bioprocessing Summit, CEAMSA reaffirms its commitment with sustainability consolidating its position as a reference in foodtech innovation and technology.
